Following the easing of Lockdown precautions we have opened the doors, albeit initially a far more limited service than Nanteos usually provides. Here in Wales the easing has been a slower process than in England, and Ceredigion especially has been cautious to open the hospitality sector understandably having had such a low rate of infection.
At Nanteos we have taken all the precautions necessary to ensure the safety of our guests. Some staff have successfully completed a safety course specifically focussed on understanding and controlling the risks COVID-19 presents to the hospitality industry.
Our revised procedures and cleaning schedules have allowed us to receive the ‘Good to Go’ status in partnership with the National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
We have introduced a new swift check out procedure to reduce social contact at reception. Indeed it can be done from your room via your smart phone.
Of course whilst handshakes, and in some cases hugs, are still not practiced our warmth of welcome remains the same.
We have opened on a B&B basis only with breakfast served as room service, and we have limited occupancy to 50% to allow us to leave rooms ‘fallow’ for a day or two after deep cleaning, with an extra sanitising of all touch surfaces prior to your check in.
The Mews house is available on a self catering basis only and is already proving popular.
We realise that families and friends whilst keen to meet up again may still feel reluctant to do so in public places, and so we have introduced a new package whereby the whole Mansion can be booked directly by phone or email with the use of up to 10 bedrooms, giving the freedom to meet up in the knowledge that there will be no other guests in house at the same time. Safe houses are not just for spies!
I wish you all well and look forward to Nanteos returning to normal and assure you that our customary safe and warm welcome will always await you at Nanteos.
